Some long awaited announcements by various auto majors made the last week a happening one. Nissan Motors finally made the big announcement this week that the company is all set to launch the Diesel variant of its all popular hatchback Nissan Micra by the end of this year. Tata Motors after witnessing upsurged sales figures for the month of August is all set to conquer the SUV segment in India with the launch of Tata Aria scheduled in near future. Skoda Fabia, a premium hatchback from Skoda Motors is ready to get a facelift on 24th of Sep'2010. According to the sources, the new facelifted Skoda Fabia will now be available with a 1.2-litre, 75PS petrol engine and a 1.2-litre, 75PS TDI Common-Rail diesel engine that currently powers the Volkswagen Polo. Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Swift Dzire and Fiat Linea came out to be the most searched sedans in the last week, while it was Ford Figo, Maruti Alto and Volkswagen Polo grabbing all lights in the hatchback segment. With lots of launches scheduled this festive season, some of the cars to look forward to include Hyundai i10, Skoda Fabia and Fiat Linea. Loads of excitement in stored for the Indian automobile buyer who will be reaping big benefits this festive season.
